Discovering My Backyard
This spring has been a season of new discovery for me. Coming out of the wettest winter on record since 1969, with over fifty feet of snowfall in Mammoth, I'm seeing blooms and colors for the first time through a vivid new lens. The plants, flowers and greenery in my backyard look and feel so lush...I just can't get enough!
These are just a few of my favorites.
Nature provides us with many color combinations that display perfect harmony. Purple and green are no exception. On this cloudy day near golden hour, I was able to capture deep saturated hues creating a complementary effect.
On another bright note, California is no longer in a drought. After many years of severely dry conditions, the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains will deliver more than enough runoff this spring and summer to quench our thirsts and wet our appetites!
XOXO,
Sheryl
